A deadly car accident in Ontario leaves two Chino High School students dead late Thursday night. The vehicle was operated by an unlicensed male with an 18-year-old passenger and two female passengers. The accident took place near the South Grove Avenue and East Airport Drive intersection, both males were also sustained injuries from the accident.
The SUV was heading North on Grove Avenue at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control, veered across the center median, and crashed into a wall. The two females Chino High School students were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
San Bernardino County coroner’s office identified one girl as 16-year-old Valerie Zavala of Ontario. The name of the other teen was not released but classmates identified her as Julie Salas.
The identity of the driver and male passenger involved in the car accident have not yet been released but we are told that they attended different schools. Both were transported to a local hospital where they are said to be in stable condition.
Authorities are now investigated what caused this tragic accident and if drugs or alcohol were involved.
